We are looking for a biostatistician with experience in the analysis of observational studies and clinical trials and strong interest in prediction modelling.
In this position you work together with epidemiologists, medical researchers and clinicians on the design and analysis of an international funded research project on novel clinical tools for use in diagnosing and managing high-risk pregnancies and reducing the burden of stillbirths in Uganda, sub-Saharan Africa, and globally.
You actively contribute to the design of studies, write/review statistical analysis plans, develop/launch analysis scripts and methodology while demonstrating insight into the biomedical background of this and further global health related projects.

Through the years, the Julius Center has distinguished itself through high quality scientific research and education.
You will be appointed at the Department of Global Public Health and Bioethics at the Julius Center for Health Sciences and Primary Care, UMC Utrecht, The Netherlands. The department conducts high-impact epidemiologic and global health research in the areas of circulatory health, cancer, infectious disease, maternal & child health, exposome sciences and planetary health, with the aim to generate evidence that contributes to improved health and equity in health and to educate new generations of researchers and health care professionals worldwide.
The function is 80- 100% fte as Assistant Professor if you have a PhD. Appointment is temporary for two years. Starting date is ideally from 1 April 2023.
